Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
