In a bizarre crossover event that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Uncovered

According to the formal release, "An unusual confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of forbidden practices and monstrous transformations echo through the darkness." The storyline features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden cult.

The mission centers on "peculiar tests and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Changes

The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Bonus Content

Players who finish the mission will receive an exclusive katana together with multiple items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Latest Free Story Update

This patch also adds the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "The Enigma."
